Taipei Film Festival Film Announcement
In addition to other feature films, PTS Series 'Heaven on the 4th Floor: Episode 1 - 2' and 'Gold Leaf: Episode 1 - 2' will premiere during the festival. As well as Asia premiere of 'Dead & Beautiful' which was jointly produced by Taiwan and the Netherlands.
Forward Taiwan - Taiwan Shorts: 'Unforgettable Darkness of the Stained Spirit' (失去) starring Jag Huang and Yu-chiao Hsia; 'Falling Koi' (錦鯉墜落) starring Yu-Chieh Cheng and Ko-Yuan Wang.
Series Mania
Series Mania is one of Europe’s biggest and most prestigious TV series festivals based in Lille, France. With more than 50 series selected around the globe, allowing the series to be widely discussed, attract buyers, and providing a platform for international partners.
For the first time, Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) is leading the efforts to participate in Series Mania. There are three series and one novel selected:
'Fragrance of the First Flower' (第一次遇見花香的那刻) starring Lyan Cheng and Mathilde Lin, enters the Short Forms Competition;
'The Amazing Grace of Σ' (我願意) telling a cult story, starring Aaron Yan and Chun Yao Yao, and
'Who Killed the Good Man' (大債時代) that discuss debt issues of younger generation, alongside with other 18 global series, selected for Forum Exclusives, selected from 462 other series.
Crime/mystery thriller novel, 'The Spectre in Samaji' (沙瑪基的惡靈) by Taiwanese author Sha-Tang (沙棠), is also selected for Series Mania Book-to-Screen Forum.

The world premiere of the first two episodes of 'The Amazing Grace of Σ' and 'Fragrance of the First Flower' will also be held in France.
Taiwanese version of 'My Sassy Girl'
With 2021 being the 20th anniversary of Korean movie 'My Sassy Girl', Star Ritz has announced the launch of the Chinese version, a global audition will be held on the Lang Live app. This will also be the first time Marcus Chang being a series producer.
It is estimated to be available to air by the end of 2022.
'Q Series 2' Progress
Thriller series '滴水的推理書屋' has started filming! Directed by Shih-han Liao and written by 吳怡靜. Cast includes: Wes Lo, River Huang, Wan-ting Chen, Moon Lee, Ying-Tung Lin and 管翊君.
As for '綠島金魂' which has been shooting for a while, due to the pandemic in Taiwan, the crew has decided to postpone and resume filming after lunar new year.
2021 Golden Horse Film Festival
The 2021 Golden Horse Film Festival will be held from November 11th to 28th, with 'Terrorizers' (青春弒戀) staring Austin Lin, Ding Ning, Annie Chen, JC Lin, Moon Lee and Pipi Yao, selected as the opening film.
Documentary featuring Father of Taiwanese Movie, Lee Hsing 'Film Artifacts of Director Lee Hsing' selected as closing film.
Launch of international streaming platform 'Taiwan Plus'
'Taiwan Plus' is the first Taiwanese streaming platform that promotes Taiwan content, including news and dramas to international audience, and has launched on 30th August. Oversea audiences can also watch 'Seqalu: Formosa 1867' (斯卡羅) on the Taiwan+ app and YouTube.

The 56th Golden Bell Awards
Nominations of the 56th Golden Bell Awards has been announced recently. The ceremony will be held on 2nd October.
'The Magician on the Skywalk' with 14 nominations, 'The Workers' with 10, 'U Mother Baker' with 8. Other nominated series include 'Animal Whisper', 'Detention: the Series', and 'Adventure of the Ring'
